Year 3 Science and Art Day at Burghley

18 May 2017

On Monday 15th May, Year 3 enjoyed a fantastic day at Burghley.  In the morning, the children learned about parts of plants and flowers, what plants need for growth and why plants are so important.  The children particularly enjoyed dissecting and labelling a flower.  They also enjoyed learning about the wonderful world of minibeasts. In the afternoon, the light rain did not dampen their spirits as they ventured round the Sculpture Garden, looking closely at and discussing the various sculptures.  The day ended with a tour around the water features of the Garden of Surprises.
