Year 6 geography Peak District fieldtrip

11 Oct 2017

The Year 6 pupils enjoyed a day of geography fieldwork in the Peak District as part of our Enrichment Week

We first scaled the 287-metre Thorpe Cloud before hiking through the Dovedale Valley and negotiating the River Dove’s famous stepping stones – crossing from Derbyshire to Staffordshire in the process!

Along the way, the children investigated the changing weather conditions, the impacts of tourism and the geological history of the area.

A big ‘Thank you’ to the staff from the Peak District Learning & Discovery Team who expertly led the activities and made it an enjoyable and educational day for all.
