Witham 11 – 2 Laxton JS

Final:

The team were convincing winners of all their round robin matches at the Witham Hall Netball Tournament, with the shooters in particular playing exceptionally well. The semi-final against Spratton was a slightly closer game but still Witham dominated. The final against Wellingborough was a repeat of the earlier rounds, where Witham kept up their high standard and won the match 10-1. The standard of play by all the girls was very high and they were deserved winners of the tournament.

U10B team to Witham Hall U10B Tournament

Witham 2 – 0 Bedford Modern
Witham 2 – 0 Laxton

Semi-Final:

Witham 2 -1 Witham U9A

Final:

Witham 3 – 2 Bedford Modern

The U10B team had a fantastic tournament showing good skill and determination on court. In attack Georgie, Jess Ha, Flora and Jess Hu all played brilliantly, working the ball around to create space and think about where the ball needed to go. In defence, Isabelle and Charlotte played really well, making some good interceptions and worked well together. Overall, all of the girls played very, well winning all games except one, to go on to win the tournament. A great reward for their effort.

Witham 2 – 1 Bedford Girls U10B

The U9A team had an absolute blinder of an afternoon at the Witham Hall U10 Tournament. This was their first time playing seven-a-side Netball, and against Year 5 girls. They started off strong in their first game against Stamford, taking the lead straight away. The team kept their cool all afternoon, making the most of their opportunities and marking well in defence. The team ended up playing the Witham U10B team in the semi-finals and narrowly losing 1-2. Bedford Girls’ School followed again, after drawing 2-2 earlier in the group stages. The girls played brilliantly, scoring the winning goal in the last few minutes to bring home the bronze medals. Fantastic effort girls, well done.
