Year 4 European Presentations

12 Feb 2020

In spite of Britain’s recent departure from the European Union, Year 4 took the opportunity to welcome Europe to Witham Hall with our European Event. The children showcased the highlights of their chosen country with engaging posters and presentations, as well as quizzes and demonstrations of traditional dances. From Ella and Victoria’s soul lifting Scottish reel, to Emily and Matilda’s rendition of the Icelandic National anthem. From the history of the legend of Latvia’s national flag to the plight of the children of Chernobyl, so eloquently delivered by Ava and Lara, wearing stunning home made outfits, Europe was thoroughly explored. The evening was hosted by Nate, who presented with maturity and professionalism. The parents were treated to a European food sampling, provided by Steph and her team as well as many of the parents who supplied traditional fayre for us all to sample. We should like to thank them all for their support of the event in additionally helping children with costumes and for joining in with the fun.
