We say goodbye to Miss Hopkinson and Mrs Edwards
As the Michalemas Term 2020 draws to a close, we say goodbye to two highly-valued members of staff.
Miss Hopkinson joined us in 2015 and has been an integral part of the very strong English Department. She has contributed to the huge success of the department, not only in raising standards in English, but moreover in fostering a passion for the subject in her pupils. She has also been an important member of the boarding team.
'Witham legend', Mrs Edwards, also leaves us after an amazing 21 years of outstanding service. Mr Austen highlighted some of her fantastic achievements during her time at the School both pastorally as Deputy Head and in a sporting capacity as Director of Sport. Countless unbeaten seasons and no fewer than nine IAPS National Finals appearances, culminated in winning the Small Schools' Netball competition at the start of this year. Her dedication and care towards pupils will be hugely missed.
We wish both every happiness in their future endeavours.
