Year 6 Geography Peak District fieldtrip

14 Oct 2015

As part of our Enrichment Week, the Year 6 pupils enjoyed a day of geography fieldwork in the Peak District.

We first scaled the 287-metre Thorpe Cloud before hiking through the Dovedale valley and negotiating the famous stepping stones across the river.

Along the way, the children investigated the changing weather conditions, the impacts of tourism, conflicting land-uses and the geology of the area.

A big ‘Thank you’ to the staff from the Peak District Learning & Discovery Team who expertly led the activities and made it an enjoyable and educational day for all.
