Well done to the U11A netball team who have won through to the IAPS National Netball Finals that will be played at Roedean School on Saturday 12th March. The girls should be so proud of themselves! Thank you to Miss Stanton, Mrs Welch and the parents for all their terrific support in so many different ways – a real team effort.

At Uppingham yesterday forty six schools competed for first to seventh positions – the places that were available for progression through to the national finals. It was a gruelling day of 12 matches which involved an initial group stage of 7 games played between 10am and 2pm. The Witham girls came second in their group which took them through to a knock out round against Spratton Hall which they won by the narrowest of margins. This meant that they then progressed through to another group stage and four more matches. They drew one of these games and won the others which led to them being placed 6th in the tournament overall and winning through to play at Roedean next week. What excitement, celebration and tired legs there were at the end of this intense day………..not only for the children but staff and parents too!

Well done girls - Katie Wraith (c), Lulie Pumphrey (vc), Bonnie Harris, Ella Chandler, Mia Paylor, Sienna McAlpine, Bella Fox, Poppy Wraith, Gigi Granger.
