Class 1 45cm. Team Members: Millie Atkinson, Mollie Deaton and Henry Collett

This was the first outing for our three new members! They were all very nervous as they went into the ring to jump a course of 9 very scary coloured fences, followed by another round over a shortened course against the clock. Mollie was first to go and went into the ring with determination and produced a lovely controlled clear round. Next in was Millie who also rode very well and went clear. Henry was last to go and rode his relatively new pony amazingly. Despite being a very new partnership and a little disagreement on which way she wanted to go, Henry kept calm and guided her correctly, but unfortunately picked up 4 faults. In the jump off Round Mollie produced a lovely clear round, as did Millie.

Henry then rode superbly; despite his pony remaining argumentative he rode very determinedly and managed to get her round with just four faults.

The Team finished a very respectable 6th. They should all be very proud of themselves for their first School Show Jumping competition. Well done.

Class 2 70cm

George Vergerson-Rowley competed as an individual, with the organisers linking him up with other schools that only had one member competing to make a mixed team up.

George rode two lovely clear rounds and his team were placed 3rd.
