Farewell messages form the 2016 Gap Students
14 Dec 2016
I was so worried flying over here in January, I kept on telling myself ‘it will be fine when I get to Witham Hall’. How wrong I was - it hasn’t been fine, it has been amazing, a result of the wonderful Witham Hall community. Next year I am off to university to study languages, I am unsure of where this will take me, but I am looking forward to finding out! I just want to thank each and every member of the Witham Hall community – staff, students and parents – for their friendship and kindness to me over the past year. I have made so many lovely memories with you all and I am very grateful. I hope to come back and visit in a few years.
Thank you so much,
It’s surreal knowing my time here at Witham has come to an end. Receiving an acceptance letter for a job across the other side of the world was nothing short of scary. But 12 months on, Witham has not only been a place of work but it became a home, a big family and definitely a place I’ll miss. For the next couple of months I will be enjoying the glorious summer sun before I go to university where who knows what I’ll study, maybe even teaching inspired by this year.
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of my journey this year, it’s been wonderful.
I had no idea what to expect on the very first day at Witham Hall after putting my life in a suitcase and moving to England for a year. I certainly didn’t expect it to play a huge part in making this year the best of my life. From all the staff being so amazing to work with, to the children being so friendly and welcoming - I am definitely going to miss each and every single one of you. After spending the next 2 months either on a beach or by a swimming pool I will start university studying agribusiness at UNE, but I will definitely make sure I coach at the local rugby and cricket clubs – Witham has inspired me.
A huge thank you to the whole Witham Hall community for making this a truly unforgettable experience.
