Malvern IAPS National Cross Country Championships

22 Mar 2017

On Sunday 12th March several hardy cross country runners made the journey to the south west of England to the beautiful setting of Malvern College. The weather was beautiful and made for good running. There were close to 600 runners and represented many prep schools across the UK. On arrival (the parents who I want to say a huge ‘thank you’ to for giving up their Sunday) met and we walked the course with the runners. The ‘hill of doom’ as it became affectionately known, lived up to its billing. That said the Witham runners on the various start lines were determined, enthusiastic, keen and nervous. Over the course of the next two hours, all the Witham runners completed the courses and acquitted themselves marvellously, setting numerous personal bests. Overall it was a fantastic day, really well organised and created a real team ethos for  those who attended. We very much look forward to the next Cross Country season.
