Witham Hall Cross Country Competition

04 Nov 2014

On a fine October day eleven schools gathered in the fantastic grounds at Witham to enjoy our annual cross country event. There were over 50 runners in every race and every competitor gave their all trying hard to complete the course. They were cheered on loudly by a large crowd of parents and staff. It was to be Kimbolton’s day, as they dominated most of the team competitions and enjoyed three team wins. Witham put in a very good show with the U9 boys leading the way with a fine team performance, winning their age group competition. In any other competition the U11 girls would have won their team competition with four Witham girls in the top ten – however, Kimbolton managed four girls in the top six!

Thanks must go to all the Witham staff and children who helped run this big event and to Mr Exton our groundsman who made sure that the course and grounds were in tip top condition. Thanks to – to the catering team who had a very busy afternoon and the Witham Mum’s whose help was greatly appreciated!
