National Schools’ Biathlon Championships

The Biathlon team have been training hard all term in the build up to the National Schools’ Championships, held this weekend at Crystal Palace Sports Stadium. With Monday evening swimming, plus multiple lunchtimes a week, on top of swim training out of school, they have certainly put in the hours!

The girls competed on Saturday. Matilda, Gigi and Ffion all had a long week and a late couple of nights with the play. A 5am start for the majority of the girls team, meant they had to dig extra deep to give their very best performances. Matilda did particularly well in the U10 girl’s competition, placing 34th in the country with two personal bests.  

The boys competed on Sunday, with this being both Jack and Angus’ first year in the Biathlon team. They both did exceptionally well, particularly Angus who also achieved two personal bests and was the youngest competitor there.
