Safeguarding and E-Safety

The School is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of its boarding and day pupils, regardless of age, ability, race, culture, religion, sexuality or class, considering at all times what is in the best interests of the child. Each pupil’s welfare is of paramount importance. We recognise that some children may be especially vulnerable to abuse. We recognise that children who are abused or neglected may find it difficult to develop a sense of self-worth and to view the world in a positive way. While at School, behaviour may be challenging. We recognise that they may exhibit concerning behaviours and at times this may impact on other children either directly or indirectly. We will always take a considered and sensitive approach in order that we can support all of our pupils.

The teaching of online safety is firmly embedded in the Computing curriculum, which is taught from Year 2 to Year 8 by the Head of Computing. Additional to this, the school invites an online safety expert guest speaker annually, to talk to both pupils and parents. In line with KCSIE, all staff will receive online safety training.

This year's Headmaster's Guest Night - Internet Safety, What parents should know will be held on Tuesday 18th June 2019. All parents are encouraged to attend.
