Co-curricular

In addition to the children’s classroom activities, we encourage pupils to take part in co-curricular activities. We are very lucky to have Witham Hall’s amazing facilities and grounds which provide an enviable setting and array of opportunities to take part in Sport, Art, Drama and Music. In addition to these, the Pre-Prep clubs and activities programme is led by a combination of talented internal staff and external coaches. We are keen to develop the children into well-rounded individuals. Participating in a club allows the children to develop their own interests and talents while providing them with an opportunity to work with and make friends outside their year and their usual group of friends.

An example of a termly programme of Pre-Prep Clubs can be seen below. These are offering in addition to Art, Drama, Music, PE and Games that are part of the Pre-Prep curriculum.

Day Clubs Available
Monday Short Tennis, Ballet, Dance, Football
Tuesday Bushcraft, Mindfulness
Wednesday Construction Club, Animation Club
Thursday Homework Club, Creative Club
Friday Quiz Club, Games Club

Clubs are run weekly after school and the number of clubs on offer to the children increases as they progress through the School, taking age and ability into account. Activities run by school staff are not chargeable, however, external coaches do charge a modest fee for running their activity. The choice of activities changes termly and a club list is published for both Pre-Prep and Prep before the following term. This allows parents time to talk through the choices of activities with their children and make their choices via our website.
